The coin rides a trending meme that grew rapidly across X (Twitter) and TikTok.
- "Neegy" started as a kid's Fortnite workaround/slang (a playful or censored phonetic version of a certain word, similar to "neezy" in AAVE/hip-hop slang). A random TikTok kid comes up with a viral replacement for the N word — think he was Mexican.
- It spawned a few TikTok videos with people saying the same word. The videos were not that viral but were viral enough — around 60–100k. Then TJR (popular KOL) tweeted about it, and it ripped to ~300k, then it had more TikTok videos.
