A guy who was followed by Elon Musk posted a picture saying "X is cool because I can post a picture of a cute dog, and some guy named Elon Musk will comment 'nice'." That picture of the dog led to a coin spawning in.

It went from ~100k to ~200k, ~300k, then all the way up to ~1m, peaking at ~1.2m all-time high — because many people speculated that Elon Musk would actually respond to the dog saying "nice," which would then result in the coin gaining a lot more attention.

Some guy essentially CTO'ed this. There were several coins around at the same time, but because a guy was CTO of a coin and sent it to ~4m market capitalisation, it seemed like he had more trust. ~700k at the time of writing.
