Overview

Doge2, also referred to as Caesar, is a Solana token issued through Pump.fun. The theme derives from a 2020 photograph of a dog named Caesar, originally published by the account @ourbravestboy. A caption reading "Doge 2 has been officially released" circulated widely on X and Reddit, presenting the animal as a more relaxed counterpart to the original Doge image.

Narrative

The token's community positions it as the "authentic" Doge2 on the basis of the original imagery and its documented 2020 origin. The dog's owner has since revisited the original posts publicly and is described within the community as being aware of and involved with the project. A community takeover was claimed on 23 August 2026.

Discussion has drawn comparisons with other established dog-themed tokens and framed Doge2 as a longer-horizon entry within the wider Doge lineage rather than a short-lived launch.

Market activity

Distribution across Reddit and X produced rapid holder growth into the thousands, with daily trading volume reaching several million dollars at peak. The token recorded an all-time-high market capitalisation of approximately $1.4 million before retracing; subsequent readings have ranged between roughly $100,000 and $400,000, reflecting pronounced volatility.

Owner involvement and fee redirection

On 23 August 2026 the original poster, @ourbravestboy, addressed the community directly:

"I'm glad that you guys are still so welcoming towards me, brings a tear to my eye. I'm working with @tickerDOGE2 and @prxnterr so that I can get a PROPER introduction. Sorry again for the shitshow that this past day has been." — @ourbravestboy

Later the same day, printer (@prxnterr) published a pinned summary on behalf of the community takeover, setting out the sequence of events:

"After a bit of a delay, here's all the info to catch you up on Doge2. @ourbravestboy never had fees directed to him UNTIL today. He was scammed by the owner/deployer of the coin and only figured it out after reading his hundreds of DMs about 'making 30k.' He never deleted his posts. Everything he uploaded was posted in the first community, where he was eventually banned after the community owner/dev blocked him on Instagram once he figured out what was going on with the fees (which automatically removed his posts). I got on a call with him yesterday and he's a super chill guy... Once I got his wallet, I went straight to @json1444 and got the fees redirected in under 10 hours. Now that he actually has fees directed to him and can benefit from his own pet coin, this runs back to ATH and more. The lore on this is ridiculously good AND it's being backed by the owner himself."

According to the account, creator fees were redirected to the dog's owner within ten hours of obtaining his wallet address, giving him a direct stake in the token named after his pet. The community has treated the owner's public endorsement and continued activity as the central pillar of the project's lore.
